My dear C.Ronaldo, am part of those who feel you are the number one player at the moment, however there are certain 'Traits' or should i say 'Virtues' a player of your caliber should extol which is absent in you. "humility" is one of such virtue that you lack. Nobody would say that you are not a wonderful, talented and skilfull player, but they would prefer Lionel Messi over you, for Indeed, Messi is a Humble lad.
I know in your wildest imagination, you never thought what happened will ever happen, but then again, how are you so sure, you wouldn't have missed if given the opportunity, shit happens and life is unpredictable. Am sorry it had to end this way, a better player is one who accepts defeat and moves past it.
I know you feel like a broken man right now, but what is meant to be, is meant to be {Kpele}!!!
