TIMI DAKOLO's GREAT NATION VIDEO DROPS!

Timi Dakolo’s spell bound classic, Great Nation is out – officially and exclusively on- www.youtube.com/timidakolo

Timi who couldn't not hide his exitement had this to say “I am delighted that the Great Nation video has finally been delivered and the feedback so far has been wonderful. It was a very challenging exercise, believe me. The process of agreeing on the best treatment for the video to a song of this magnitude in terms of importance was rigourous. Everyone had a bright idea about how it should be visually interpreted but once we started the shoot, everything progressed fluidly. I’m particularly grateful to my friends – and firm believers in the Nigeria project who formed the cast, Clarence and his crew, Cobhams Asuquo, Joan Ekpai, Olaitan Dada and everybody that made this a success. This is indeed, a watershed moment!.”

Timi is currently preparing for ‘The Evening’, a fund raising concert for people living with disabilities, scheduled for the 17th of November at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.

No doubt Timi is a talented and inspiring artist, giving hope to young boys and girls on the streets of Nigeria..... Enjoy!

ALARMING RATE OF COLLAPSING BRT BUSES

It is no longer news, the immense benefit that commuters have been enjoying since the introduction of the Bus Rapid Transit {BRT} by the incumbent governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola {SAN}. with  emotions contagious and Danfo drivers alongside their conductors  practically insane 80% of the time they are on the road, the tendency for commuters  to be infected with such insanity before they reach their destination cannot be over emphasized. It is the absence of such virus that makes the BRT buses more preferred!
Lately however, commuters are no longer certain if a particular BRT bus is fit and proper to take one from point of pick up to final destination without breaking down mid way. Few weeks ago, a BRT bus almost gut fire on third mainland bridge as we headed to work, as third mainland bridge no get bus-stop, stranded commuters {passengers} were left to beg for lift from passing vehicles.
Baba Fashola you don try for Eko no be small but we don't know who the next Governor will be, or if he/she will be a supporter of the BRT initiative. Nigeria has experienced quite a lot of incoming Governors abandoning projects started by their predecessors. The BRT will most definitely drift to become a Molue of sort, if such incidence is allowed to happen to it.

Baba Agbalagba! with the desired goal being to make Lagos state a mega city by 2015 and with Lagos quite on track to achieving such feat, it is imperative and necessary that buses which have become road unworthy be replaced with new ones and those near collapsed should be serviced ASAP!

Sir! please do this for us..... Eko oni baje ohh!

Hurray! MOTHER NIGERIA IS 52

Arise o compatriots,
For today, our Beloved mother is 52,
She has seen the parliamentary, military and democratic leadership,
She has survived all the numerous challenges and persecution that her children are making her go through,
She has witnessed her children kill one another for selfish and irrational reasons,
She has wept, is still weeping yet she still protects us as one undivided nations (what a strength)
Oh! Mother Nigeria,
A GREAT nation but not highly respected among its equal,
Blessed as the largest producer of oil but stricken by that virus called CORRUPTION,
80% of her citizens think not of what to give to her but only what to receive,
Bleeding her slowly but yet she stands.

Arise o compatriots,
For today, mother Nigeria is 52,
Let us feel the pain this woman is going through by our unhealthy rivalry and division,
Let us fill her heart with Joy through LOVE and PATRIOTISM to country and people,
Together we can make mother Nigeria great and highly respected among her equals.
Oh! Mother Nigeria,
As a man thinketh, so he is,
Your change lies in love of country,
Tis our responsibility to think better things of her,
GOD bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Hip! Hip! Hip! HURRAY!

My Dear Friend,

My name is Augustine Johnson. A Private Lawyer based here in Johannesburg South Africa. Honestly it will be my humble pleasure if we can work together.

I would like you to act as the next of kin to my deceased client, a citizen of your country, who made a deposit of $23.5 million only with a Bank here in Johannesburg few years back. He died in a plane crash with his immediate family in a plane crash without any registered next of kin and as such the funds now have an open beneficiary mandate with a Bank, This means that any person from your country can act as the next of kin of the deceased person for claiming the inheritance funds without any risk involved.

Moreso,I have received official letter from the bank suggesting a likely proceeding for confiscation of the Fund in line with existing laws by the bank in which my client deposited the sum of $23.5 Million Dollars . According to the Government Law as provided in section 129 sub 63(N), South African Banking Edit of 1961 at the expiration of 11 years the fund will revert to the ownership of the South African Government, if nobody applies to claim the fund.

My proposition to you is to present you to the bank as the Next of kin and beneficiary of my deceased client so that the bank will pay this $23.5 million to you so that we can share the amount on a mutually agreed percentage of 60% for me 40% for you.

GRATITUDE!

  • ·         An unthankful person would grumble over everything.

  • ·         People with a thankful heart, when they give they don’t remember and when they receive they don’t forget.
  •           Before you can be thankful, you have to be hopeful, many hopeless people are thankless people.
  • ·         Anyone infected with ingratitude has been infected with limitation of the mind.
  • ·         Thankful people are joyful people.
  • ·         It is not plenty that makes you happy.
  • ·         Don’t lose your expectation, you are more endowed than you think.
  • ·         With GRATITUDE, an acquaintance will become a friend and a meal, a feast.
  • ·         Be thankful over what you have, then you can appreciate more.
  • ·         The number one thing that makes friendship work is GRATITUDE!
  • ·         Complete satisfaction is not gotten from possession of material things.

GEJ I GREET YOU!

“When united people fight for you in one cause, you cannot be defeated”

I woke up this morning to the remarkable news that President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the indefinite halt of the proposed N5,000 note. This is a laudable feat in the right direction, those who are good at getting rid of trouble are those who take care of it before it arises, GEJ! I greet and respect you, you have just placed the interest of the people far above political interest. In a country like Nigeria such a thing is not easy to come by {TIUALE}.

His Excellency, Nigerians don’t care about the ethnic, Linguistic or religious background of their President as long as the living condition in the country is comfortable and affordable, for this reason, i implore you to please put the interest of the people as your top most priority and they will not fail you when the time comes.

WHAT NEXT?

It is quite clear and understandable that most of the problems facing this nation is as a result of bad leadership in the past, this is not your fault but the solution and way forward lies in your hand, meaning, you can choose to either join the long list of bad leadership or make a difference and be remembered as one who changed the course of this nation for the better.

Sir, i recommend you get a list of all Federal  Government abandoned project in the country, find out the reasons why they have been abandoned these past years, provide means by which these projects can be completed and complete them.

Also, we should reduce the Fire brigade manner {RUSH, RUSH} in which policies are being formulated without due implementation of those already on ground. One has discovered that the major problem in the corridors of power in this beloved country of ours is ‘policy implementation’. We have the ginger and energy to formulate policies but lack the Will and strength to see it reach the GRASSROOTS e.g Cashless policy.

Sir, the mistakes of the past is not a reason to truncate the beauty of the future, if not for anything, for the sake of generations yet unborn. GOODLUCK to you JONATHAN...... I see GREAT things happening to Nigeria!

NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, TRUE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE PEOPLE

In order to ensure adequate check and balance on the powers exercised by the Executive arm of government, the National Assembly {Legislature} was created, though its primary function is making laws suitable for the good governance of the nation. For the purpose of today’s discussion focus would be on the House of Representative {them dey try}!

The house of reps before going on their annual vacation had warned the Executive of 100% implementation of the budget because “Budget implementation is the only way Nigerians can feel the direct impact of government in their daily life”. At first, i thought this to be a stage act by the house of reps to scurry favour from Nigerians, but my doubts about their commitment was laid to rest at the plenary session held yesterday, i commend your efforts, please don’t relent because Nigerians are watching and 2015 is around the corner {Just saying}!

To the N5,000 note dilemma, I used to like Mallam Sanusi Lamido, but his stubborn and adamant attitude towards the emergence of the new note irrespective of the yearnings and groaning of Nigerians, only tells of a hidden agenda, to embezzle public funds and this has put him in my black book. With Presidential approval to carry on with introduction of the new note, Nigerians only had the National assembly to come to their aid and to our aid they have come.

My plea to the house of reps is the same with all Nigerians that you represent, “WE DON’T WANT FIVE THOUSAND NAIRA NOTE” it only benefits the rich few to the detriment of the many, many, many poor Nigerians, the less cash people are encouraged to carry, the better our economy and security would be. If Mallam Sanusi knows the problem Nigerians constantly face to get N1,000 change from Bus conductors, Shoe cobblers, Mama put {Iya basira}, Aboki stores, hair stylist and the rest , he would understand that the N5,000 note will multiply this suffering by 5, thereby encouraging untold hardship on the ordinary Nigerian.

The cashless policy is a good initiative, the Federal Government should first see this policy to fruition before embarking on any other policy from the Central Bank of NIgeria. We cannot continue to run Nigeria as an Experimental Laboratory specimen, it is time policies are being felt by the ordinary Nigerians. House of reps if Mallam Sanusi is so in love with restructuring our currency, he should reduce the highest denomination to N500 note and not to multiply our suffering... Abeg House of Reps no fall our hands oooohhhhhh, na the same hand we go use vote una again!

I believe Hon Tambuwal would ensure the best for Nigerians....!
